Many nonprofits wonder if a capital campaign is the right next step for their future, but they don't know where to start. Because the early stages of a campaign are deeply private, organizations partner with me confidentially to explore their readiness before making any public moves.

Over a structured two-month journey, I guide leadership through the foundational landscape of a capital campaign. Together, we demystify the different phases of a campaign, build initial non-construction budgets, and facilitate critical, early-stage conversations among board members to build alignment.

Because every organization’s capacity is different, this exploratory phase is designed to bring total clarity. By the end of our two months together, clients confidently land on one of three strategic paths:

  • Pause: Deciding the timing isn't right to move forward.

  • Hire: Seeking internal talent, such as a dedicated Capital Campaign Director.

  • Next Step: Actively building a plan to launch into Phase 1 with a Capital Campaign Advisor like Guide on the Side.

Ultimately, this project is about giving boards the clarity, alignment, and data they need to make the right choice for their mission's future.
